This might just end up being a regular thing with me. π
I’ve mentioned before that all sorts of things are sold at the side of the road. Selling rattan furniture is no exception. π
Of course I have the requisite wandering cow photo. I always have a requisite wandering cow photo. π
Then there’s the guy selling Dole bananas. Bananas = common here. Dole bananas, not so much. π
And here, we’ve got a guy standing on a wall while using a very long makeshift pole to pick fruit from a tree. That’s a common enough sight here, too. π
Here, we have the most common method for transporting plants here – in the back of an open truck. How else? π
Then there’s the restaurant Fahim and I went to, which was pretty decent.

More than likely Dole has a contract with banana plantations here, which would explain the box. A lot of bananas are grown in Sri Lanka. A lot a lot. π
I’m glad to hear you’re entertained by the photos. I am, too, honestly. It’s so different from life in Canada. π
Interesting day to day life photos, Laurie. Thanks for posting. The Dole bananas pic is the oddest for me. Wonder where they came from. – Barb
