This photograph was taken at the Cancer Hospital, the children’s ward. In each room, there are typically around 15-20 patients. There’s nowhere for the mom’s to sleep, so like this mom, they tend to sleep near their children, perhaps with their heads on the bed, or perhaps they sleep on the floor.

Ohh, that’s so heartbreaking. Makes one wonder how the mother goes on. I will pray for them.
I went there with a couple of foreigners who were in Sri Lanka specifically to spend money on charitable/worthwhile projects. All three of us left just about bawling. It was a very difficult visit.
