December Views – Sunset

december viewsHippy Urban Girl is running a, well, blog theme sort of dealy called December Views. Here’s the deal:

Rather than blogging words, I am going to blog images for the month of december. There are no rules and though I intend on blogging images everyday ~ that is not the intention, rather then intention is to allow myself to enjoy the quiet, to allow myself a month of no stress creativity and to allow myself to share a bit of my world with you in a completely different way than I usually do. I am excited.

If you’re interesting in joining in, go to her blog entry and sign up. 🙂

Meanwhile, I had a problem using the code she has on her site for the December Views image graphic at the top of this post. I couldn’t leave the code in the comments on Hippy Urban Girl’s site, so I’m posting it here.

The code posted in the blog entry for the image contains both regular quotes as well as smart quotes. If that code is pasted directly into a blog entry or the HTML for a template or so on, there may be problems with how it posts. I took the code, pasted it into notepad, and then I replaced all smart quotes with regular, and got this:

<a title="december views by hippyurbangirl, on Flickr" href="http://www.hippyurbangirl.com/december-views/2009/11/25/december-views-2009-the-explanation.html"><img alt="december views" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3029/3073013628_f0b95d4b1b_o.jpg" width="150" height="54" /></a>

Meanwhile, here is my first December View. Please note I live on a tropical island. As such, we have no snow. And since only 7% of the country is Christian, Christmas plays no big role here, and since there are no Jews here, there’s no Channukah either. Just so you know why my December Views may be radically different from yours. 🙂

  1. Darlene, thanks for visiting and commenting. 🙂 I’ve never been normal, whatever that is, so radically different suits me fine. 🙂

Happy to help with the code. 🙂
