Project #365 Day 63 Purple-Faced Leaf Monkey

purple-faced leaf monkey, purple-faced langur monkey, Sri LankaThis guy (I think…), a gray purple-faced langur monkey, visited us again. The pack of monkeys – there are five that we know of – visit us on occasion, and when they want to, they sure can move fast.

Here he is, sitting on a power line just after the youngest one, about six months or so old, came over to talk to him and then speedily left.

Another second after this picture was taken, and this guy was gone, too.

CORRECTION:

I was wrong. This is not a Gray Langur monkey at all, but is actually a Purple-Faced Leaf Monkey, aka Purple-Faced Langur Monkey (Trachypithecus vetulus).
