Oxcarts. I kid you not.

Another interjection.

While I was sitting in the living room minding my own business, I hear this really loud racket walking by. Because I’m the curious type (the polite way of saying nosy 🙂 ) I stick my head out the door and what do I see?

A wagon pulled by an ox.

Now it’s also true that I’m really not up on identifying my animals, so I could actually be getting it wrong. For all I know, it’s a water buffalo (which, in Sri Lanka, is sometimes spelled “buffolow”), but who am I to tell the difference?

I grabbed the camera and took a picture just for you, dear reader. Take a peek. Okay, so you can’t really see the ox, if it is, in fact, an ox, but whatever the animal it is, if you look closely, you CAN see it’s feet. I will endeavor to take a better picture some other time, assuming it goes walking past again.
