Best Photos of 2003

I thought of doing a post on the “Best of…” for 2009, but as I thought about it, I realized that, really, I should go back to the beginning of my sojourn in Sri Lanka. With that, I’ve started in 2003 and will post Best of… for each year, one a day, starting with 2003.

I’m doing something similar with my A Canadian in King Parakramabahu’s Court blog, but with a difference. At A Canadian… I’m posting favourite photos, photos that are representative of my life in Sri Lanka, or photos that have some particular meaning to me. Here, I’m picking what I think are my best photos, or among my best photos.

Please understand that I’ve been working with point & shoot cameras, and as such, they do have limitations. As well, it’s only recently that I took myself out of snapshot mode and have tried improving the artistic value of my photos, which is a process. I’m not a natural artist with a natural eye for these things, so it’s something that I’m trying to learn.

I hope you enjoy. 🙂

  1. Good thing you took these photos in 2003. If you had tried to take a photo of the old parliament between 2004 to 2008 you would have been dragged away to the fourth floor of a certain building not far from this one.
