The President has put the military on alert because of the bombing. Fahim doesn’t know what that entails – it depends on how paranoid the president becomes over the bombing from yesterday. It could entail everything up to barricades and check points and lots of men with guns hanging around everywhere. It would, of course, mean more hassles and going anywhere would take longer.
