Today, a bomb went off in a police station. I was in Bambalapitiya (and I sure do hope I spelled that correctly!) working on a friend’s computer. The police station that was bombed was only a few blocks away.
Fahim tells me this while we’re watching the news. It’s in English, and of course, I still don’t understand what’s being said. I’m not really paying attention, which of course doesn’t help. It isn’t until Fahim tells me about the bombing that I start cluing in that this is something I may want to pay attention to.
