At Fahim’s suggestion, I used a program called FontExpert 2005 that checks fonts to see if they’re corrupted. That came up negative.
I’ve also gone to about:config in my browser, filtered on font, and reset any (one) that was bolded.
I’ve checked forums, and it seems that there are only two possible solutions in front of me. One is to replace fonts in the theory that they’re corrupted (how well does FontExpert work in checking for corrupted fonts? I have no idea…) or ditch my FireFox profile for a new one and hope that fixes it.
