Project #365 Day 17 Wild Yam Flower

Any empty spot of land quickly turns into lush greenery of some sort, especially during the rainy season, when a stretch of bare dirt can become green in a matter of a week or two.

One plant that grows wild here is called a wild yam. I’m told the root is edible, but not much favoured among locals, so people mostly don’t eat it. And occasionally, it flowers.

ETA: Fahim tells me it might be a death lily. But he’s not positive. But he thinks so. So I don’t know. 🙁
