Apparently, a plane enroute to Colombo wound up in Male, Maldives when the whole tidal wave thing happened. News we had yesterday indicated that the airport there was destroyed, all flights cancelled, and no indication of when things would return to normal.
This morning, we hear that the plane – a Sri Lankans airlines plane – is now leaving Male for Colombo. Evidently, the airport is in much better condition than previously indicated. All good news.
