Project #365 Day 57 Chameleon Re-Visited

chameleon in our garden, Sri LankaHe (she? I can’t get close enough to lift his/her/its tail) seems to be a fairly frequent visitor in our garden. Of course, there could be, and probably are, half a dozen who tromp through here, in and out, all day…

Anyway. I was in my kitchen, minding my own business, chopping vegetables as I made lunch, when I heard a noise of something moving around just outside my window. I looked, but couldn’t see anything, so I went outside to check it out.

Then a three or four foot long lizard scurried out from behind a pot and quickly ran away, escaping under the gate at the front of the house. That thing moves fast!

Meanwhile, a littler lizard, this chameleon, scurried in the other direction, seeking refuge behind the palm bush and finally into that back corner of our garden, where I photographed him.

And then I left so he could calm down and escape. 🙂
