On the local news, at least the one in English, most mornings, perhaps all mornings? the news anchor person has a phone interview with at least one individual. This morning, the interview was with the Inspector General of Police.
The questions asked of the Inspector General was what he was doing about the corruption within the police.
His reply?
The Inspector General presented statistical analyses indicating that the police were not, in fact, the most corrupt organization.
Does he bother to address the charge that the police are corrupt? Nope. His focus is solely on "We are not THE MOST corrupt."
Good for you, Inspector General. Ignore the issues.
There goes five or ten minutes.
Does he answer the actual question?
Nope.
Not even close.
Conclusion?
He just don’t give a damn.
