Dark Fish Day

I went nowhere and did nothing today. Remember that dreaded heat rash I’ve mentioned before? It started off on the inside of my elbows, spread to the rest of my arms, next showed up on my abdomen, and now? Now, I have heat rash on my inner thighs. This is worth mentioned only because it hurts to walk, therefore, I go nowhere and do nothing. Fahim’s gonna have to do the grocery shopping without me, poor boy. Does he know how to pick out decent produce? I have no idea.

Today was a mostly uneventful day. We were soooooo lazy. Fahim readily admits that he’s lazy, whereas I’m fighting that label as much as, well, I feel like at the moment.

Ouch. Another sign of laziness.

But we did actually get out and smell some fresh air today. For all of a total of five minutes. Fahim and I went to his work. And yes, again with the motorcycle. I’m not as antsy as I was, but I’m not yet ready for a half hour ride. I want a mediumish ride, oh, ten or fifteen minutes, first. I need to adjust to this. I think Fahim needs to adjust to it as well. I’m not convinced that he’s used to a second rider enough to do a longer trip yet. But he’s arrogant, and we both know this, so this shouldn’t be a surprise.

At his work, we did the usual checking and downloading email and publishing my blog. This blog. And a happy surprise – I saw Joanne, one of my best friends, on MSN Messenger today. Happy day, happy day. So we chatted for a while.

Dark fish day.

Let me be completely honest. I’m not as fond of that dark fish we bought off the back of that guy’s motorcycle as I am of the other fish we’ve had. Thalipath was good. Have we had any other kinds? I don’t remember off hand – I’d have to check through the blog entries.

The dark fish has a lot of bones. That’s problem number one. Problem number two is that the flavour reminds me somewhat of beef liver. Are these fish scavengers or something? I don’t know. All I know is that the light fish I’ve had in my life I prefer to this. Nevertheless, we have it, therefore we must cook it.
