Our fishmonger is back

He came by today – he’s still alive! – and while he didn’t have seer fish or shrimp, he did have cuttlefish. Huge honking big humoungous massive cuttlefish.

I ended up butchering it, divying up the body parts between bags for freezing, and cooked up the head and tentacles with capsicum, red peppers, and garlic into a really nice devilled squid thingy. Turned out really good. Yum!

Should I mention that the tentacles stuck to the sink as I washed them? And pulling them off the sink resulted in that creepy suction sound?
