We’ve been seeing a lot in the news, specifically on CNN and Channel News Asia, about elections all over the world. Greece. Italy. USA. Malaysia. Taiwan.
But is there any mention on Sri Lankan elections outside of the local news stations?
Nope. Not a word.
Malaysia has voting this weekend, as does Taiwan, and Sri Lanka is the week after (April 2nd).
I mean, I know Sri Lanka is a backwater third world country and all, but seriously. Not a single word on Channel News Asia or the Asian segments of CNN. But Malaysia is as much a backwater third world country as Sri Lanka is, and they still get coverage.
