And now that we’ve had our land line connection for a year and two months, we FINALLY get a telephone directory.
Yay.
We had to pick it up at the telephone exchange place – they don’t deliver them here. No problem. At least we get one.
So, uh, why didn’t we qualify for one last year? No idea.
Now. The other thing is that we get two directories – one for Colombo, the big city, and the other is for the rest of Western Province.
Apparently, years back (Fahim doesn’t know if it’s still like this or not) the rest of the country used to get one directory that covered the whole of the rest of the country.
Yep, that’s how not common telephone lines are here.
The two directories together are about three inches thick. The whole shebang.
