Reading Comprehension 101

30 July 2008

I was reading the comments to a post over on Making Light when I saw a post Teresa Nielsen Hayden made about another site. Her comment was about the comments on a post at AdPulp being a moderator’s nightmare. Well, in all fairness, the original blog post at Making Light is [...]

Scam! Scammy! Scammer! Scammiest!

20 May 2008

I’m following Mad Scientist Matt in the AW Blog Chain, and he talked about scams regarding fuel savings and cars. Well, I know nothing about scams and cars, but I do know plenty about scams and publishing. Or scams and the Internet. Scams and email. There sure are a lot of [...]

12 June 2006

JCHosting, the former domain host for AbsoluteWrite, who shut them down on an hour’s notice over a complaint by Barbara Bauer, appears to be going out of business. Or so they claim in their personal blogs. On the hosting site, it appears to be business as usual.

AbsoluteWrite the update

31 May 2006

If you don’t already know it, the refugee forums are up and running. No, they’re not pretty, and no, it’s not the forums from AW prior to the takedown, but they’ll do for now.
Also, Jenna Glatzer, owner/operator of Absolute Write, has made a plea for donations.
Birol offered a brief update:
Today, as the clock [...]

30 May 2006

Mad Scientist Matt, commenting over at Dawno’s blog, said, in reference to the top twenty worst agents list:
I think I’m going to start a time-release Googlebomb on my blog, now that I’ve had a chance to ponder things. Each week I will feature a new agent on the list and some of the lowlights of [...]
