Because I’m either a geek or a ridiculous individual – you can vote on which one you think it is – I took a couple of pictures of our soup cubes.
Uh, why? And how about What the heck?
There actually is a reason I am including them. Hardly a reason to justify anything, really, except that I haven’t given you a sample of Tamil vs Sinhalese alphabets. So, here, we have a small sample.
In the photographs above, the soup cubes label on the left is in Sinhalese – note how curvy it is – and on the right is Tamil – kinda boxy and all angles.
Oh. And there’s English thrown in, too. Just a little bit. A tiny box, really. If you look close enough, you’ll find it.
