Rail Road Stations

One day on the way to the acupuncturist doc guy, I took this pic. Or rather, on the way back, I took this pic. It’s a railroad station in the middle of Nugegoda.

I was in the trishaw at the time, which explains the side mirror in the picture.

You can see several women using umbrellas on a clearly sunny day. You can also see that cyclist carrying those huge packages. That’s a fairly common site here, too.

On the railroad station itself, the top set of letters is Sinhalese, the bottom is Tamil. And no, I don’t know why there are three tracks. Not three sets of tracks. Three tracks.

I’ve been wondering for a while, and I don’t have an answer yet.

But yeah, that’s an honest to goodness Sri Lankan Railroad Station. In Capital Letters even.
