Say hello to one of our neighborhood Black-Hooded Orioles (Oriolus xanthornus), also known in Sinhala as Kahakurulla.
S/he’s an infrequent visitor, so infrequent that s/he’s only visited me by my kitchen window three times in the last year, all three times in the last month. S/he’s never around for long – I’ve got perhaps four or five seconds to take a photo and hope it turns out well enough.
