Monsoon Blues

Summer’s in full swing here.  Well, except we don’t have summer.  We have the South-East Monsoon season, and then we have the North-West Monsoon season.  But it’s always tanning weather here, and you can get pineapples, mangos, papayas, limes, and bananas straight off a tree.

As for us, well, we’ve been in the middle of the break between the two monsoons – it finally rained last night for the first time in two months or so.  It’s been sitting at 30-34 Celsius every day, day in and day out, never getting below 27.  Apparently, the humidity levels make it feel like it’s ten degrees hotter than reality.  I can’t take it anymore.  I’m ready to dive head first into a snowbank naked.

Maybe I’ll have to work in a delusional scene of that into a novel somewhere. 😀
