Long Distance

I called my grandma on my cell phone. The one with the phone card.

I started out with 396 Rupees on account, so we estimated that I probably had something like 17 minutes on the card, but to play it safe, I’d limit the conversation to ten minutes.

I called grandma. I spoke to aunt Jane initially and then we went on speakerphone with grandma, too. It was good to talk to them.

We talked for about thirteen minutes, and when I checked my account on the cell phone immediately after, I had something like 17 Rupees left. In other words, if I hadn’t ended the conversation, the cell phone would have anyway.

So now it’s off to get another phone card. 🙂
