Day 26/#365 Spotted Dove

Today’s bird is a Spotted Dove (Streptopelia chinensis), also known as the Spotted Turtle Dove, Chinese Dove, and Alu Kobeiya (Sinhala). The Spotted Dove is an infrequent visitor, but has been hanging around our neighborhood a fair bit the last week.

And in the event that you were unaware, doves are a type of pigeon.

Edited to add: Ooops. I did day 26 twice, but happily (?) I used photos for this day 26 and the other day 26 from the same day, so consider this day 26 part deux. Or something.

Onwards and upwards, ho!
