The Prompt

Write this story using the phrase, "we need to build a windmill".

Remember, the prompt is just that – a prompt, a hint, a suggestion. How you interpret it and where you take it is a whole other adventure and completely up to you. :) Happy adventures!

I was hunting for a prompt for my weekly fiction story and came across this page with the gas pump on a farm. I didn’t use the windmill line you suggested, but the gas pump gave me this story: Rearview Mirror. Thanks for the nudge!

I wrote this based on the prompt. The ending is kind of rushed but I like what I was writing, I think maybe I can do more with it sometime :)
