The Writing Prompt
I’ll post a writing prompt each Friday.
The prompt might be in the form of a picture, title, words or phrase to be included in the story, or something else entirely.
What you do with the writing prompt and how you interpret it is entirely up to you.
If you post (either in part or the whole thing) what you’ve written online to a blog or other website, please link back to the specific writing prompt that prompted that story (using a permalink or permanent link) and leave a comment on that prompt with a permalink to your story so we can all check it out.
Your reward? A breathtakingly brilliant and entertaining short story or a crazy plot twist if we’re all lucky. Hey, make sure you give me half the profits, eh, for providing you with the idea…
The Tip of the Day
I’ll try to post a writing tip with each Flash Fiction Friday writing prompt. Hopefully they’ll help someone.
How you can help
If you’ve got a great idea for a writing prompt or a writing tip, email me at lm at lmashton dot com. I’ll credit you and provide a link back to your blog, website, Twitter page, or something similar that you provide me with.
Please use "Flash Fiction Friday" in the subject line of the email.
Images for you to use
You can use the image below on your website.

If you need another size, please let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
Happy writing!
