Welcome to Flash Fiction Friday, where everything is possible! It’s only limited by your delusions of grandeur!

Given that we’re firmly into NaNoWriMo, we’re doing things a little bit differently this month.

While short stories are, of course, still welcome, you can also write a scene in your NaNoWriMo Novel and share a portion of that scene with us.

Because, of course, everyone who’s doing NaNoWriMo would scream and threaten me with bloody hatchets otherwise… And I hate living in fear… :p

So, here’s the deal. Add one of the following news headlines to your story.

Cattle Mutilations The Work Of Dracula

Aircraft That Mysteriously Vanished In Bermuda Triangle Years Ago Reappears In Lisbon

Beijing Struck By Freak Plasma Storm

Bonus points if you include all three.

Your reward? A crazy plot twist if we’re all lucky. More so, an infusion of brilliant ideas that’ll rocket your novel to the top of the New York Times Bestseller List! Hey, make sure you give me half, eh, for providing you with the idea… :D

So what do you have to do to play? Other than poke yourself in the eye with a sharp pencil?

Follow the rules as outlined, making sure you add the necessary script to your blog and email the pertinent info to me.

This week’s code is:

<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript" src="http://www.lmashton.com/fff/fff10.php"></script>

Welcome to Flash Fiction Friday! Let the insanity begin!

Here’s what the code will look like on your page:
