I recently came across a link popularity check site. I ran a few sites through it and came up with these results:
www.lmashton.com – 298 links total / 28 Google or AOL / 28 HotBot / 20 MSN / 222 Yahoo! or Fast or AltaVista
www.laurieashton.com – 928 total / 51 Google or AOL / 51 HotBot / 444 MSN / 382 Yahoo! or Fast or AltaVista
www.speculative-fiction.com – 744 total / 39 Google or AOL / 39 HotBot / 406 MSN / 260 Yahoo! or…
So what does all that mean? Well, in context, Lancome has 32,000+ total links, The Drudge Report has 2 million + links, Amazon has 26 million + links, and so on. My numbers are limited.
Still, it shows where I’m at and it makes it easier to tell if I’m making progress. And that’s a good thing.
This same site also has Search Engine Saturation and Key Word Verification tools.
